You cannot stretch a gas. If you extend the volume in which some gas is enclosed you are working against the difference in between the external atmospheric pressure and the internal pressure of the gas. As you increase the enclosed volume, the pressure inside there falls and you have to work harder.
it gets stretched
It gets stretched.

you have then stretched your tendon / muscle beyond the normal range .
The rock will break because it can be stretched no farther. An object stretched beyond its elastic limit may be deformed (adopt a new permanent resting shape) or break.
You become very fat and stretched out. Good luck with that.

When a spring is stretched beyond its limit, it reaches a point where it can no longer return to its original shape. This is known as the spring's elastic limit. If the spring is stretched beyond this limit, it will permanently deform or even break.
if you go close enough to a black hole you can get stretched to death the end
When an object is stretched, the force that occurs is known as tension. Tension is a pulling force that acts on the object in the direction of the stretch, attempting to restore the object back to its original shape.
Xenon is a gas and the concept of ductility makes no sense for a gas.
