Death can occur
I'm on medication for diabetes and last week at the doctor's office, my blood sugar was over 400. Do I need to be on insulin?
Drink water and exercise to try to burn up some of the sugar. Also please notify your doctor if your blood sugar is running over 200. You need to discuss why your blood sugar is so high, and find a treatment plan that works for you. Please go to the ER or urgent care if your blood sugar is running over 400.
My doctor told me if my blood sugar gets anywhere near 400, go to the hospital.
You would be dead... but if somehow you're not you need Insulin, and a lot of it. Whoever wrote this knows nothing about blood sugar levels. Although it is dangerous you wouldn't simply die when your sugar goes over 400. What you should do is go to the er so they can get your levels down asap
how long will it take for blood sugar level to drop
Long term elevated blood sugar will lead to organ damage and/or organ failure. The organs that are usually damaged first are the eyes and kidneys. The eye because eye pressure is effected (osmosis) and the kidneys because they filter the blood. The kidneys become overworked trying to remove the excessive glucose from the blood.
400 grams of sugar is 1 3/4 cups of sugar.
if your sugar level is 400 how high is high
There is approximately 1 3/4 cups of sugar in 400 grams. There is 100 grams in ever 1/2 of sugar.
say you have diabetes, and you check your blood sugar, and the meter said that your number was 400, you would have to exercise to make your blood sugar low again, my point is that you know how you exercise to lose weight? Well when you have a high blood sugar that means you ate too much sugar, and exercising makes it low again. Get my point? If nobody does, than somebody please improve my long answer. (by the way, I have diabetes)
400 grams = about 0.8818 pounds.grams divided by 453.6 = pounds
25 over 400 as a decimal = 0.062525/400:= 25 ÷ 400= 0.0625 in decimal
