the density of water is higher than the copper coil it doen not effect the gravitational force, because of the higher water density, the water try to achive the area of coil as we know the copper is the good conductor of cooling it absorb the cooling soon, we get the more cooling effect where air to be pump,if we does reverse connection in fcu so, cause of gavitional force water water will travel through the ciol soon and rusult into less cooling effect.as copared to previous connection

Why brine is used in industrial refrigeration?

A brine solution is silmply water that is combined with diluted salt. It allows the water that is used in chilled water cooling systems to operate a lower tempertures without freezing up. Just like freon (refrigerant) used for residential cooling systems, the chilled water flows through an evaporator coil in which heat is absorbed and to be carried away by the mixture which cools the ambient space. On other applications, an antifreeze, or glycol solution, in the chilled water performs a similar task.

Why water filter is provided at water inlet of water cooler?

So that the internals of the cooler don't get gunked up by precipitates that come out of suspension when the water is chilled. Solubles will still precipitate out.

Why is heavy grade steel pipework used for chilled water?

Any sort of extreme temperature difference, such as that between chilled water and the heated environment outside, can cause intense stress on any pipework. As such, extremely thick pipework can help prevent any serious damage or malfunction.

What is a tricock valve?

It is a small, valve usually used to manually check if water is above the valve connection on a boiler or tank. There may be several of them at different heights on the boiler or tank. There is a handwheel on the valve, an inlet connection (which is attached to the boiler) and an outlet (usually left unconnected). When filling the boiler or tank, the try-cocks can be left open. Water coming from the try-cock means the tank is filled to at least that level. The valve is then closed.

How vacuum is created in condenser?

vaccum is created i steam turbine after giving its heat to cooling water when it happens i mean rection of giving heat to cooling water energy is required to complete this process and that energy will drawn from surrounding atmosphere so in that way vaccum is created

What is a chilled water pump?

There are two pumps the primary and the secondary pump. The primary is the chilled water pump which is what pumps cold water throughout the building and the secondary circulates the water.

What is the chilled water pump operation?

Why are primary chilled water pumps smaller than secondary pumps?

PRIMARY CHILLED WATER PUMPS ARE SELECTED TO FULFILL THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE CHILLER WHERE AS SECONADRY CHILLED WATER PUMPS TO SUPPLY CHILLED WATER TO THE LOAD. FOR EXAMPLE TO THE FAN COIL UNITS & AIR HANDELING UNITS. IN NORMAL PRACTICE THE SECONDARY CHILLED WATER PUMPS ARE APPLIED WITH VARIABLE FREQUENCY (SPEED) DRIVE WHILE PRIMARY WITH CONSTANT SPEED, IN THIS ALSO PRIMARY CHILLED WATER PUMPS CAN BE USED WITH VFD SYSTEM. What happens if soda is chilled?

It gets cold. Just like water, it expands when cold, so if it is in a can and you chill it in a very cold environment, like a freezer, it could explode the can.
