When you put an ice into water it will float on water due to the fact that the density of ice is less than that of water to due to expansion in hydrogen bonding and its starts to melt and the water get cold ...... I hope this help..!

The ice melts, when something melts the particle's formation changes. When the water is in a solid state the particles are all touching each other in a tight group. When the state begins to change the ice heats up thus the particles start to vibrate. It then changes to a liquid state the particles spread out, they are no longer in a tight group. However they also are not completely free to move around, the particles are just more spaced out.

Ice does not dissolve in water. Ice is water, just in a solid state because of its low temperature. When ice melts, the water from the ice and the water in a cup combine.

A block of ice is solid water. When heat (a form of energy) is added, the ice melts into liquid water. It has reached its melting point – 0°C. Continue to apply heat, and the water will turn into water vapour, which is water in its gaseous state.

What phase happens when water turns into ice?

It is from the liquid phase to the solid phase. It is called freezing.

What happens to ice when you heat?

It melts and turns into liquid

When a solid turns into liquid what is that called?

Melting. Think of ice. When you melt ice, it turns into a liquid, when you freeze ice it turns into a solid. Improved: Melting. Think of ice. When you melt ice, it turns into WATER (a liquid), when you freeze (ice) WATER it turns into a solid, WHICH IS CALLED 'ICE'.

What is when ice turns into liquid water?

melting

What is a solid that turns into a liquid?

Ice to water

What solid turns into liquid solution?

Ice/water

When ice turns to water in a container What is the liquid on the outside of the container?

The liquid to which you are referring is likely condensation - water. When water vapor in the air encounters something cold, such as a container with ice in it, the vapor tends to collect and condense into liquid water around the cold object. The same thing happens with a glass of ice water on a hot day.

What happens to water when it is dense?

It turns to ice or heavy water.

What is happening to the mass of water when it turned into ice?

The water turns from a liquid to a solid

Which is most dense liquid water water vapor or ice?

liquid water followed by ice, finally followed by vapor. You can verify this by thinking about what happens when ice is in a cup of liquid water.

Does liquid water boils as it turns to ice?

Steam condences into water, water freezes in to ice, ice melts into water, water boils to steam

How hot can it get before water turns back in to a liquid?

Ice turns to liquid at 30 degrees and to gas at 100 degrees
