When the sperm reaches the egg, they fuse together forming one cell and multiplying creating what is called the fetus.
First the sperm scatters the follicle cells around the egg and inserts only its head into the egg so that the tail breaks off. Following that an extra cell membrane forms around the egg to prevent other sperm from entering. The head then moves towards the nucleas in the egg, and both the nucleas of the egg and the sperm fuse together to form a zygote which divides repeatedly to form the embryo which later implants itself in the wall of the uterus resulting in pregnancy.
At conception, the sperm enters the egg and the DNA of the sperm merges with the DNA of the Egg cell.
To get to the egg the sperm has to first go through sexual intercourse and then the sperm travels in a liquid till it reaches the fallopian tube where the egg is to get into the egg the sperm uses its tail. (only a brief way)
Fertilization is when a males sperm cell reaches the woman's egg and enters it.
Meiosis.
A sperm and an egg.
the egg is larger than the sperm cell
It typically takes a sperm cell a few minutes to a few hours to travel and penetrate the egg. Once a sperm cell reaches the egg, it must undergo a process called fertilization which involves breaking through the egg's membrane before merging with the egg to form a zygote.
No, generally only one sperm is able to fertilize an egg. Once a sperm penetrates the egg, the egg's protective layer prevents other sperm from entering. This ensures that only one set of genetic material combines with the egg to form a new individual.
its dead
When a fertile sperm reaches near a mature unfertilized egg, the capability of sperm to pears through the egg cell wall and discharge its nucleus makes it possible to fertilize the egg. This union of male and female gametes to form zygote is called fertilization.
Sperm cells(from male) fertilizes the egg cell(from female)
