Braxton Hicks contractions come from a Doctor named John Braxton Hicks. He was the first doctor to ever describe what these type of contractions were. This was back in the mid-late 1800s.
when you start feeling pelvic pressure and your contractions are that regular, that usually means that you're in true labor and you need to call your doctor to let him know and he will tell you what to do from there. hope this answer helped, good luck and congratulations!!!
Cramping in the lower abdomen and back can be a sign of a miscarriage, however it is not 100 percent specific for miscarriage, as several other conditions can cause similar symptoms, including Braxton-Hicks contractions, or even labor. If you are having these pains, especially associated with vaginal bleeding or fluid leakage, you should seek help immediately.
Three main signs. 1.) You have strong, regular (every 10 minutes) and painful contractions. Early on you may have painless Braxton-Hicks contractions, these do not indicate labour. (False labor) 2.)Your cervix dilates and becomes thinner. 3.) The babies' head moves downwards. You might also get some period-like crampy lower back pains and maybe experience your waters breaking. If your waters break, they must be associated with contractions for it to indicate you are in labor. A Student Doctor.
It means your hormones are preparing your body for labor by softening your ligaments so your pelvis can accommodate the birth if your baby. Painful, but worth it in the end. If you can get a pregnancy corset to support your back and bump you will find you are a lot more comfortable.
It could be false labour other wise known as braxton hicks contractions or you could possibly be dealing with the real thing. If you have 4 or more of these pains in an hour, have any type of unusual vaginal discharge, have lower back pain, increased pelvic pressure, or notice the cramps get more frequent, rhythmic, or painful. Call your dr immediately as these could be signs of actual labor.

Many women experience some diarrhea just prior to labor starting. Another sign is a sudden burst of energy where the woman will finish preparing for the arrival of a baby, called nesting. Physical signs of early labor can include "bloody show", loss of the mucus plug, rupturing of the amniotic sack, nausea, vomiting, low back ache, cramps or increase in Braxton Hicks type contractions.
It is very hard to predict exactly when you will go into labor, but a few signs that labor is coming soon are: * Loss of your mucous plug * The baby drops * Braxton hicks contractions become stronger and more frequent
