Partitioning splits a drive into multiple parts, called partitions. Each partition exists as its own logical unit from the point of view of the operating system. This means that you can have one physical drive which has multiple logical partitions with different operating systems on it, each of which may or may not be aware of the other partitions and operating systems.
Once you insert your memory stick, look for an icon on your desktop called My computer. Or where your different drives are listed. Look for a drive that has a letter that is not drive C. Sometimes it will be E, F, or G, but not always. Click on the drive icon and that is usually where you find your pictures. If you can not find your drive file along with your other drives, it is possible you have to go to the memory stick website and download something called a driver.

The small hole is the manual eject port. Using a paper clip or other small object, insert it into the hole and press firmly to open the tray. Very useful for retrieving a disc when no power is available or the drive stops functioning correctly.
