Your PSP is then a useless "Birck".
It can be reverted to a prior firmware but it is very very long and excruciatingly painful process to do.

Recently you can not make your psp with a custom firmware with out Pandora, Think about buying a Pandora battery on eBay, they are cheap.

Im not quite sure, but from what ive heard there are mixed reviews. Some say that you cant downgrade a 3.90 firmwire. Some say that you can downgrade any firmwire with a pandora's battery. Its quite confusing to me. I havent do it because im not sure what will happen. I, too, have a 3.90 firmwire. I dont want to waste a perfectly good battery trying to make a pandora's that might not even work. But i am getting closer to my answer. Im still leaning toward making the magic memory stick and pandora's battery. Ive read so many instructions on how to do it I can make my own forum and tell people how to do it.

you can only go from 3.72 official firmware to 3.90 custom by using a Pandora battery to downgrade your psp to 1.5 then upgrade to 3.90. to obtain a Pandora battery you cam buy one from eBay or if you know someone on custom firmware, they can make one. (WARNING, once your psp battery has been turned into a Pandora battery it can't be used as a normal battery)
