Kerosene is the same as paraffin. Paraffin is a liquid that can burn and is widely used.

When you mix paraffin with water, you get a whitish liquid, probably due to airbubbles due to the heavy motions required to actually mix them.

Paraffin does NOT mix as such and since the paraffin is not as heavy as water, it will instantly begin to separate and form as a layer on top of the water.

There is No danger involved when mixing.

I do not even think this is a dangerous solution to drink. You will probably just end up at the loo rather quickly as it really does start something happening that way.

Would not try this though. There might be a difference to medical paraffin used for this purpose versus parafine used for energy/heat.

depends on the hydrogen peroxide. if the hydrogen peroxide is like the one found in the medical section or in the cabnet of the medical stuff, nothing will likely happen. I didn't try it my self so if you want to find out, experiment. But what i do know is that if it's consentraited and comes in contact with platnium or silver, the hydrogen peroxide will start expelling hot gases that are hypergolic with kerosene. (hypergolic is a rocketry term meaning that combining two or more substances will ignit it without ignition source) But, you can just mix them together and will make a rocket fuel.

What happens when you mix the kerosene with water?Meniscus forms between the two substances, separating them. Since kerosene is non-polar, and is less dense than water, they don't mix.

Therefore, no matter how much you agitate the mixture, themeniscus layer will always form between them, since kerosene is non-polar, and less dense than water. No matter what you do, these two substances will never mix.

You will get a mixture of both. Nothing else. Still very flammable, still poisonous, still stinky ;)

What happens if you put hydrogen peroxide with boiled water?

Depending on the concentration of the hydrogen peroxide, (if low enough) it will just decompose into water and oxygen gas. If the hydrogen peroxide is high enough in concentration it will just heat up and mix with the water (most likely the first will occur).

The enzyme in the liver (catalase) decomposes the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) into water and oxygen molecules.

What happens when you mix hydrogen peroxide and iodine and sugar?

Hydrogen peroxide is a toxic substance that is sometimes made in our cells due to some chemical reactions. It is poisonous so cells produce an enzyme called 'Catalase' which break down hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen. Because catalase is in our blood, if hydrogen peroxide is added to it, it breaks down: Blood + H2 O2(hydrogen peroxide) --changes to-- H2O (water) + O2 (oxygen).
