.dmg, .iso, are a couple of them. They are a digital version, exact copy's, of CD/DVDs as an example. Instead of having a physical copy of a CS/DVD and having to carry it around, you can change it into an exact digital copy of the disk and then send it electronically to who ever needs it. If you buy a product from say, Apple or Microsoft, they can send you a disk image instead of the physical DVD. Most company's are going that way.

Cc stands for Carbon copy and means you can send an exact copy of the email you are sending to someone else you only need to use it if you wish to send a copy of that email to another person. If you send a copy using Cc the person you are originally sending the email to will know who you sent a copy to.
Pretty much the same as if you go to the office. If you are an 'employee' you will file a W-4 with the employer and he should withhold federal and possibly state taxes and send you a W-2 at the end of the year. If you are an independent contractor, the employer will send you a Form 1099-Misc at the end of the year (and a copy to the government) and you will pay the taxes then. Most independent contractors should be filing estimated taxes quarterly to avoid a penalty when filing.
