You rot a bit.
Your brain stops working so all bodily functions peter out. Your body gets burnt or buried where worms feast on your flesh.
Your mind continues being linked to your soul. Most believe we enter a world of a different dimension. The jump from living to dying is just as big as between nursing in a womb and living on Earth.
I believe that the worthy fly freely in space and time as either ghosts or angels and that heaven is that universal freedom. The non-believers and evil souls remain on Earth which one day will burn in a cold fire like nuclear war, hell.
Nobody knows! Just like an unborn baby does not know what it is like outside the womb of it's mother.

∙ 11y agoReally there are different beliefs about this. You'll have to make up your mind which system of beliefs you believe... Most religions believe in some sort of an afterlife - that is, that we have an immortal soul, that continues living in some way. Some believe that the soul goes to a world that is quite different from this one. Others, that we will somehow come back to this same Earth.
