What happens with Ian in Pretty Little Liars?

This might ruin or spoil the show for you but ian is trying to push Spencer off the top of the church. When Spencer is about to fall, a dark shadow, but of course human, helps out Spencer by instead pushing ian off. Then, ian dies because of falling to death and was choked by the ropes to ring the church bell. At the end, the police finds no body and ians body is gone from the ropes. Omg, this is getting scary!
