President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) is fluent in German and English. As a child in East Germany, he was exposed to the Russian language at school (See April 2010 General Conference and October 2006 General Conference) but does not appear to be fluent. Having lived in Europe and been a commercial airline pilot he is probably also quite familiar with other European languages - perhaps including French (spoken in Switzerland where he attended university), Dutch (similar to German), and Czech (spoken where he was born).
