What helped to allow the Holocaust to take place?

it was the way Hitler told the Nazi's, Jews are bad. he convinced them in such a Way, that it made them feel good about themselves, to not accept anyone but themselves. it is crazy that something like this could have happened, but it indeed did mate.

Many things helped:

- the lack of a free press, one that was allowed to speak out against the government, even though the goverment was supposedly fighting to maintain thier freedom and way of life.

- the lack of international pressure, Germany was one of the (if not the) greatest economic power and other countries were afraid to stand up to what it was doing to the Jews before the war, this added to the fact that most countries did not want Jews either.

- the hiding of what it was really doing under an emergency powers act, giving the Nazis power to do what they wanted to the 'enemy within' without allowing people the right to question it.

- there of course were many other factors.
