The circulatory system also known as the cardiovascular system, your heart, blood vessels and blood itself are three essential components the body needs to survive. The circulatory system consists of two circuits that blood travels through pulmonary and systemic. Exercise affects these systems causing the heart to pump blood faster around the body, which in turn allows you to exercise for longer.

What are 5 functions of hormones?

1) The main purpose of hormones is to send chemical signals to everywhere in the body. 2) They play a role in the development of bones and muscles 3) They are necessary for bodily changes such as puberty. 4) They control metabolism 5) THey aid in the upkeep of homeostasis

Is hormones chemicals are found in the endocrine system?

Hormones are the major chemical messengers used by the endocrine system.

Why are hormones important?

Hormones transmit signals from a group of cells to a group of another cells, where its effect is determined to the pattern of secretion and the response of the receiving tissue. It has a long onset of action than neurons and thus is more suitable for controlling slow processes of the body, e.g. growth, menstural cycle, metabolism regulation

What are major function of the plasma protenis in the blood?

Intravascular osmotic effect. This is important in maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance and is discussed more fully in those sessions.Contributes to the viscosity of the plasmaTransport of insoluble substances around the body by allowing them to bind to protein molecules.Protein reserve for the bodyClotting this is discussed further in sessions on wounds and wound healingInflammatory response again discussed further in the sessions on the immune system.Protection from infection the gamma globulins function as antibodies and their role is discussed more fully in the sessions on the immune system.Maintenance of the acid-base balance. Again this is explored in more detail in the session on fluid and electrolyte balance.Blood plasma proteins like albumin functions as carrier proteins that help in the translocation of different biomolecules in body.Blood plasma contains the protease inhibitor enzymes like alpha-1 antitrypsin that help in the reduced proteolytic activity in the blood. The blood plasma contains inorganic ions which are important in regulating cell function and maintaining homeostasis.

Why is the hypothalamus important to both the nervous and endocrine system?

1. The hypothalamus integrates the endocrine and nervous systems. The hypothalamus uses the endocrine system because it takes feedback from hormones to help maintain homeostasis by keeping levels within the body regular. The hypothalamus uses the nervous system because it takes instant feedback from the nerves, which it uses to also maintain homeostasis.

What are three main functions of the nervous system?

Three main functions of the nervous system are:1. To receive sensory information from outside and inside the body;2. To store & to process that information;3. To cause actions relating to that information toward maintaining life.

What is the structure of the pituitary gland?

The human growth hormones (HGH) are hormones with crystal structure and are very essential during puberty stage. However, even adults need HGH since these hormones are responsible for maintaining proper organ function, metabolism, and overall health. Scientists have also discovered that HGH can delay the signs of aging. One way to increase HGH level is through natural supplements. It is explained here:
