On the face by the underground door in the ruins, you need to press the four teeth that spell the word "OPEN" in the hieroglyphics. The translation page is on top of the ruins.
Counting all the teeth in one row, left to right, press the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th teeth, then the nose.
just go to poptropicasecrets.com then click walkthroughs, then find sharktooth island by scrolling down, and it will tell which buttons to push.
Push the big block to the right, jump up to the vines,and climb to the wooden platform. Then jump left.
Press the third, fourth, sixth, and seventh teeth from the left, and then push the nose. This should open the door -- because these symbols spell "Open" in hieroglyphics.
In Shark tooth island you have to move the big square stone and push it under the tree avoiding the coconuts. Then you just climb the tree

Push the giant rock to the right until you can jump up.
Push the big block to the right, climb the vine, and jump left from the wooden platform.
You go to the Ancient Ruins and you get the translating paper and go inside the heirogliphcs place and you push the nose when you're done.
They are just decorations, like the stone gargoyles on the skyscraper of Super Power Island. You can only push the four large empty jars, and if you leave and return, they are back where they were.

Professor Hammerhead's journal (in the Shark museum) had the translation key for the hieroglyphics. But that page is missing. You will find it on top of the ruins. You have to spell the word "open" in hieroglyphics. (see related question)
