The main courses and requirements you need to go to university or college differ, but they basically are the same just different levels academically needed... for instance university requires certain courses to be academic such as English and Math. College however does not need academic courses, applied is fine. every school has a requirement of what courses you need ... i looked up interior design schools that i wanted to apply to and on their websites they will tell you what is required, or you can ask your schools guidance office to give you the college/university brochure and it will tell you there....... BEWARE! most universities have something called NON-ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS that you need to have in order to get in and apply such as an interview, essay, portfolio and even a design test! they even make list that you need extra curricular activities THAT THEY GIVE A PREFERENCE TO THE STUDENTS THAT HAVE THESE COURSES! such as physics, art history, business, etc. So it would be in your best interest to go to university/college websites or brochures to find out more information ... and if you still cannot figure out what to take you can go to the actual university and/or college and talk to the people who know what to take best. The best way to find out this information in to keep looking at different schools websites and READ EVERYTHING!!! so you know what your getting into it would even be smart to search "What does it take to be an interior designer?" and find more information about the job itself because i was really surprised to find out that business is a really big part of interior designing. so start working on your portfolio and make sure you know you English, math, business and art because its going to be a long road ahead!!! good luck!:)
