Sugar water
A syrup.
yes a homogenous substance is one in which you cannot differentiate between the parts of the mixture. a hetereogeneous mixture for example, might be a salad or a glass of water with ice.
An alloy like steel, a homogenous mixture of metals (and some nonmetals as well).
A glass of ice water is a heterogeneous mixture, not a homogeneous one. This is because ice and water are two different phases, despite being the same substance.
It can be, but it isn't necessarily always.
A syrup.
It is a Solution.
Glass is just a word to describe any hard, brittle, and transparent material. There are many kinds of glass, and they can be either homogeneous or heterogeneous. Ordinary window glass is homogeneous. A glass marble with swirls of color in it is heterogeneous.

Glass is a homogeneous mixture.
Sodium chloride is dissolved and dissociated in water.
"Simple" glass is a solution. The reason for the "quotes" is that there are many types of substances referred to as "glass" and it is possible that some of them contain insoluble components. An example is the opaque glass used in shower doors which contain a pigment (probably TiO2) to render them opaque. TiO2 is insoluble in "glass". It starts as a mixture of ingredients and ends up as a solution after everything is dissolved in the melt.
Glass is homogeneaous because you cannot see all the elements mixed in the glass to make the compound.
sand glass
Wine is heterogeneous. A wine glass is homogeneous.
The mixture of sugar-salt solution can be separated by evaporation. If the water is completely evaporated we will get separated sugar from the mixture. If we dissolve the mixture in alcohol we will get the salt separated while sugar will be dissolved in alcohol. After that, the solution is further filtered and salt will be the residue of the solution.
