Catholic AnswerIf a Catholic deliberately misses Mass on a Sunday or Holy Day of Obligation without a valid reason (sickness, care of children, etc.) then he is in a state of serious sin and may not receive Holy Communion or any other sacraments until he has made a good confession.Lots of Catholics go to church...I know the church I go to is full every Sunday. I love going to church and I am Catholic. My friends and family and the community I am involved with go to mass/church at least once a week (and during the week sometimes, too); if I had the time I would like to attend mass more often. The question was phrased in a way meant to be biased right out of the gate. Maybe poster meant why don't Catholics want to go to non-Catholic churches? I don't care to go to a non-Catholic Chiristian services but have given them a try so as to not be closed-minded.
Catholics celebrate Easter in celebration of the day Jesus rose from the dead after dying the previous Friday (Good Friday). The event marks the point at which all the prophecies about the Messiah are fulfilled, thus beginning the Catholic Church
The phrase "every week" is an adverb phrase, as would be the single word "weekly."
This depends on the church you attend. Each church within the Lutheran denomination decides for itself when communion is given. Some churches give it every week, or every other week, or only once a month.
i dont know guys
Catholics may receive Holy Communion anytime they are at Mass and are in a state of grace, once a day, and even a second time, if they are at an entire second Mass. If they are not in a state of grace, to receive Holy Communion would be a grave sin of sacrilege.
we dont eat meet cuz in our religion god lasts like a week with no food............are you sure?
The most important times for Catholics are: Advent Christmas and the Christmas Season Lent Holy Week, including the Triduum Easter and the Easter Season Pentecost, perhaps the most important since it marks the birthday of the Church.
You are supposed to go every week on Sunday; however, the actual attendance of Catholics depends on what region they live in.
A devout Catholic is typically someone who goes to church at least once per week, prays regularly, goes to confession regularly, generally follows the moral teachings of the church, and by their example encourages other Catholics to do so as well. However, anyone who is baptized by a Catholic priest is considered by the Church to be Catholic whether or not they do any of those things. I know many Catholics personally who attend services at Episcopal, Lutheran, and various other Christian churches, or who do not go to church at all, and they are all still considered by the Catholic Church to be Catholic.
