Why do some websites say the world will end in 2012 when it won't?
The ancient Mayans predicted that something very important/ life changing will happen in 2012. So of course the first thing we assume is that it will be the apocalypse. We don't know if the Mayans simply stopped making calendars or if the world will end or if it's all bullcrap :P -zutphen aven

no the world will not end in 2012, i guess no one believes in God, but it will go on forever and ever and ever.Update: The world will not end in 2012. The Lord did say he will have a rapture, but we don't know when. It's not like the world will explode in 2012. The assumed reason the Mayans stopped making the calendar was that they got sacked and killed off before they could keep going.
