If you are sexually active you may be pregnant - but it may take a couple months return to your own menstrual pattern after stopping the pill. If you were irregular before you started the pill, you will likely go back to that irregular pattern. Use a backup method such as condoms if pregnancy is not in your plans.
you need to contact your doctor. they can sometimes put you on a hormon to bring you back to a balance. i recieved the depo a month after my son was born and i was still bleeding from his birth i dleed like that for 4 months recieved 2 depo shots and finally they decided to put me on a hormone it worked!!
You shouldn't be taking birth control if you're not prescribed it. Birth control pills don't stop periods, they stop pregnancy.
A couple of months.
It can. It depends on what type you are taking. Some BC is designed to give shorter, lighter periods.
There is no guarantee that taking birth control will stop you from having your period. You will most likely have your period anyway.
Once you stop taking the birth control pills you are able to become pregnant.
Yes, you do have a chance of becoming pregnant once you stop taking your birth control because it typically takes 3 days for all of the active ingredients in your birth control to exit your system.
Taking a birth control pill will not stop you from getting your period. It might make your periods shorter and lighter. There is a pill out there that makes it so your body only gets four periods a year, but I wouldn't recommend it. Your body does things for a reason, and 12 periods a year is more natural.
Birth control pills/patches can really do a number on your hormones so it's quite common for your periods to be all over the place (especially when you first start taking them or you stop them.)
The only way to stop an irregular period is to start taking birth control. Usually, you will become very regular when taking the pill and some people stop having periods all together when they go on the shot.
Besides hormonal birth control the only real options to stop menstruation would either be to get pregnant or to have a hysterectomy.
For me it is. But if you continue to have heavy periods and if you did not have heavy periods before you started your pill then you should see your OBGYN. Good luck and God Bless:)
Periods can become slightly erratic or stop for a short while when you stop taking birth control. This is just your hormones coming back to normal to settle back into a normal cycle. If it has been longer than 3 months or you are concerned then seek advice from your GP.
