What happens to judgment when the plaintiff goes out of business?
The judgment is still collectable, it does not simply go away. The creditor may assign the debt to a third party, who has full authority to collect it, however the creditor may notify you, the judgment debtor, ehere and when to send payments. its still a judgment against you, and will remain so until the creditor instructs the Clerk to cancel it, by stating you have paid, or rather "satisfied" the judgment against you.

How do you cash a check with the mortgage companies name on it for home repairs?
The mortgage company is considered a co-insured when it comes to claims. You can assign it to the person or company doing the repair or ask the company to assign you the check. This is meant to keep someone from cashing a total loss check and not paying the mortgage company anything leaving them with a lot and a debt.

When the lender contracts out for the a rept to a CA repo agent and that party contracts to a 2nd party Texas agent to complete who is responsible for the damages incurred during the repo?
Regardless of who the agent is that actually repossesses a vehicle the responsibility will remain with the agency that actually accomplished the repossession, however, the Creditor is ultimately responsible for the actions of the agents that they assign an account to. The assigning agency, if they had no actual part in the repossession will probably not be responsible.
