If there was no light, which enables us to see, we would have no vision. This is because light reflects off of everything; it gets reflected to the retina in our eye but the image is upside down; it is flipped up the right way in another part of our eye. The image is then interpreted by our brain. This is how we see.

I dont think there can nessecarily be 'no sound' but if for any reason the sound waves dont reach your ears or part of your ear such as your eardrum/cillia/cochlea was damaged then you would not be able to hear.
