"Pinch me, I must be dreaming!" That is a familiar expression, but it is not an actual method that is helpful in rousing oneself from a dream. Pinching oneself in a dream would have no physical affect but would merely be another element of the dream.
> However, if one is aware that one is dreaming and wanting to wake up, then the dreamer is lucid and can take control of the dream itself. In other words, the conscious mind can take over the subconscious function of creating the dream. Inflicting pain on oneself is not necessary. The dreamer simply makes decisions that alter the course of the dream. For example, if the dreamer is running from a monster, just stop running, turn around, and tell the monster: "You are a dream and you can't hurt me. Go away."
> Or, as in Harry Potter, use the Ridikulus Spell to put a feathered hat and flowery purse onto Professor Snape.
good question. try pinching yourself. if you feel the pinch, you are not dreaming. you are dreaming if you should not feel the pinch at all. May be your are sleepwalking at the moment. But this is all real. The world is real with its many mysteries still unsolved. Sometimes life is amazing or thrilling while sometimes life sucks. Sometimes you may even want to kill yourself (please dont).

no they cant
Have a health care worker come to your home and do that for you or a trusted friend or even one of your children.
A "pinch" is just that... such as a pinch of salt in a recipe. I was told at one point that a Pinch works out to about 1/8th of a teaspoon, but it's probably even a little less than that. To do "a pinch of salt", one would pinch some salt between their fingers and put it in the recipe.
you guys are so dumb you cant even answer it yourself
I respect my self always love to ask my self this question (who am I) and whats my purpose in life ? trying to achieve my dream to live life as a mission .help, serve other in any way even in small things we cant always do great thing but small thing with great love that's why i value myself .
The dream illustrates the way you feel in much of your real life. You feel invisible because it seems as if people ignore you. It may be that this is a problem that will resolve itself as you mature and become more confident in being yourself.
it depends, cause you could wake yourself up well having a bad dream...or just wake yourself up...its hard to explain!!
In your dream, your brother very likely represented some part of your own personality. The message is that you are losing a part of yourself.
You need to tell yourself that you can. It will be hard and it even harder if this was a long term relationship but the more you tell yourself that your over him the more luck your have. Good luck, Keep strong :-).
The person in your dream can be someone you know, yourself, or an ideal. You are probably struggling with the balance of doing what you feel is right for yourself or doing what you feel would protect someone's feelings. It could be choosing a profession your parents didn't really want you to pursue, telling your spouse something they don't want to hear, or just becoming aware of your need to be totally honest with yourself and others even though it may cause them pain.
