If you're not sure when your period is due then you may still be able to tell when your period is due to start based on changes in your body.

Cramps, mood changes, bloating, or breast tenderness can all be experienced just before menstruation - these things are preventable but until you know your menstrual cycles better they do give you an idea of when your period may be due to start. Discharge is a strong indication of when your period is due too, for example 2-3 weeks before your period you will get clear stretchy discharge like egg-white, between then and menstruation you will then get thicker white lotion-like discharge. Just before menstruation you may also experience spotting; pink or brown discharge.

Everyone has their own changes their bodies go through, changes to moods or mental abilities for example, but you don't notice until you've had your periods for a while.
