if you want a girlfriend it's worth doing, however it's not going to be very long term, over all it's just learning for future dating, boyfriends and girlfriends that age don't tend to do relationshipy things, it's mostly a lot of time spend which each other, so if you're looking for more than handholding and close lipped kissing, hold off for a few years.
