Implanon may get lighter, but will not shrink during the time it's in your arm.
implanon
its very good! and really accurate, im pretty sure it was 99.9 percent accurate. ive had it since 2008 and the only trouble i had was for the first few months i had irregular bleeding and huge moodswings. since then i havent had a period and my hormones lay low. it also doesnt hurt, if that's what you're concerned about. they numb your arm
implanon is a some plastic rod that is flexiable which is inplanted in ur upper arm its replaced every three years. the rod is no bigger then a match.
it goes under the skin around the top inner arm area

Implanon is still effective even if it is bent.
it depends. they put mine in fairly deep, so no matter which way i bend it it wont 'poke out'. it isn't visible but if you touch it you can feel it. my friend got one put in, and she must have had a dodgy doctor because there is huge scaring and it 'pokes out' the implanon is about 4cms long and is bendy so
I think it the guy that burned his arm(sorry i havent read it in 2 years)
In the US, the brand name of the single-rod implant is Nexplanon, which replaced Implanon in 2011. The previous multi-rod implant brand was Norplant.
The contraceptive implant can be inserted in either arm. Typically, if you have it removed and a new one reinserted on the same day, the same location is used. The choice of arms or use of the same site does not affect how well it works.
