You can still fry some of the electronics just by putting the cables on wrong.
It's possible you fried the ECM.
Ensure jumper cables have good connection
I installed my own sound card, and no cables are connected to it. It just sits in a slot on the motherboard.
I have that same camera and it doesnt have sound you would think it does but it doesnt. Sorry.
With component cables only the red and white are for sound and the other 3 are for video.
They are RCA cables... Yellow is for Video, White is for Left Channel Sound (or Mono) and Red is for Right Channel Sound
vga cables only carry video you'll need to get a 1/8" to rca (red/white) cable for sound.
yes it can
Another issue is to disable the alarm when attempting to jumpstart a dead battery. The alarm will come to life and sound when jumper cables are connected to the battery being used to jump the vehicle. The solution is to connect the jumper cables, and while the alarm is sounding, insert the key in the door and manually unlock the vehicle. The alarm will go off, and you can continue to jumpstart the battery. Don't use your key or remote pad, press the lock button from the inside of the car before closing the door.
make sure battery cables are tight
You should check your voltage on your battery first to make sure it is not dead. You should check your battery cables if your battery checks out to be fine
Startech Premium HD Cables will improve sound as well as picture quality. anonymous@oola.com
