What if your ar game id for Pokemon pearl isn't working?

if your game id isn't working then you can manually change the code while the action replay cartridge is turned on. make sure your game is also in the ar cartridge and turn on the main ar screen. it should show a id code on the bottom left of the screen starting with CPUE. write down this whole code. now find Pokemon pearl on the screen that shows all of the ar game codes. while you have pearl highlighted, press the button that looks like a pencil. this should bring you to a screen that lets you change the name of the game. ignore this and press next. now on this screen, erase the current id code and replace it with the one written down. press next to save the code and there you go. when you go to the main ar screen, it should say Pokemon pearl now instead of unknown game. if you have any more questions or comments please ask and I'll be glad to answer.
