Are grapes poisonous to boxers dogs?

Grapes and raisins in large quantities can harm a dog and even be lethal. Without treatment, the dog will go into kidney failure, and may die a very painful death.Raisins are more concentrated (and hence more toxic) than grapes.Symptoms:They might begin to vomit repeatedly, and will become extremely hyperactive and jittery. After about 24 hours, the dog will become lethargic and depressed. They may experience abdominal pain and may stop urinating, drinking, and/or eating. They will also become dehydrated. Both their vomit and feces will contain partially digested raisins or grapes. Their breathing may become irregular. If you suspect your dog has eaten a large amount of raisins or grapes, take it to a veterinarian immediately

Is it ok if you feed your dog a raison?

No, it's not okay to feed a dog a raisin. While eating one or two probably wont harm your dog, grapes (which raisin are made out of) have been linked to renal (kidney) failure in dogs. No one is quite sure what in grapes causes dogs to have this reaction. If you dog eats so much as a handful of grapes, or a smaller amount of raisins, it is highly suggested to call you vet immediately. Vomiting usually starts to occur in a few hours, and other symptoms (lack of appetite, stomach pain, diarrhea, lack of energy and more). Depending on the level of kidney damage, dogs have died from grapes and raisins.
