What if your dog has had puuppies and is still bleeding two weeks later?

Contact someone immediately! That is awfully strange and should never happen! Not normal! WRONG ANSWER, A female dog can bleed or spot off and on for several weeks after giving birth, blood should not be bright red, or giant blood clots. it should slowly subside, its just like any other pregnancy, give 6 weeks for female to be back to her old self. including bleeding. But pay very close attention to momma and her needs. if bleeding continues after 6 weeks call vet!!

∙ 13y agoGet the dog to a vet as soon as possible! She could be bleeding out causing organ failure or death. In the meantime though keep the bleeding area free of debris with gauze and make sure it does NOT get infected.
