- 'Ex' means that the relationship is over. You should be moving ahead in your life instead of keeping in contact with your ex and enabling him to deliberately hurt you. Because you have split up and you are still in contact with him he may not respect you for this and has taken advantage of you. Always remember that you are in control of your own life and love is about caring for another and not deliberately trying to hurt the one you love.
