probally because they are scared or not used to the situation, or maybe because you dont play with them enough my hamster bit me i started play with it more often and it never bit me again let them know that you can trust them
There are various reasons your hamster could be biting his cage. As you probably can tell, hamsters have very long teeth that are continuously growing. They often need things to bite on when it starts to get uncomfortable, like cage bars. It could also mean that your hamster had fun or is really active at the moment and wants to get out of its cage to play. There is one more possibility I can think of, but it's highly uncommon. If your hamster feels too unhappy with his home, it could be trying to escape. Don't worry! As long as you are taking good care of him, everything should be fine! :)
Hope this helped! :)
I dont no if you meen sirenian? But i have a syrianian hamster and if she a girl then girls bite more than the males do
they may mistake you for food or they think you are a threat.
Dont worry :) it's fine my hamster, Pineapple, does that too. I found that giving them a dog biscuit helps, mine carry's it around with her everywhere!! So try that if you have one.
