The company that makes the Power Band has recently admotted that the product is a scam. If your piece of rubber smells, it could be due to sweat excreted when attempting to prove the value of it, but really, it is worthless.
Sorry you wasted $60 on it.

I personally believe that it does go bad, old power bait smells different than new portrait. Not sure if it "goes bad" but definitely stinks more so than new portrait. Good or bad,....who knows.
