what is the problems car wont start hi if it will not rotates it is the starter motor if it rotates but will not run then it is the immobillizer
Yes it has the immobiliser and the corresponding key on the instrument cluster appears and dissapears in 5secs. I suspect issue with a relay/solenoid based contact which is actuating the Self motor. Looks like your battery is not charging up properly. If jump start works, then I don't think there is any problem with starter motor, wiring or immobilizer, I maybe wrong too. Checking the charge in the battery will rule that out. We can then look at other angles. May be something as simple as a starter motor wiring loose contact. Get it checked ASAP. Does it have an immobiliser with a coded key? If yes, then that may also be the problem. But I would start with basics like the starter motor.
Cold weather can affect a car starter if you overwork by holding it in the on position too long and repeatedly. The starter motor can wear out.
Take to auto electricians as I had the same problem and they found a conlog relay for ignition faulty. after it was replaced car was working fine.
No bad breaks can not affect the starter or the motor. Nate.
Unless misalignment is extreme vehicle should start, but excessive wear is placed on starter (bearings)
You shim the starter motor if there is inadequate clearance between the starter drive and the ring gear. You can check the clearance by prying the starter drive out to the ring gear with a screwdriver to see if the gears mesh properly.
It certainly can. For any electrical item on a car to work properly it must form part of a circuit. The starter motor needs a huge amount of electrical energy for it to function properly. If the 'ground' or 'earth' connection is poor due to corrosion, poor contact or if it has worked loose and fallen off, then the circuits ability to supply enough power to the starter motor will be reduced and the starter will now work properly,
The starter motor is at the rear of the engine.
The starter motor is at the rear of the engine.
You can find the starter on the right hand side of the motor. The starter will be near the back of the motor. You can follow the positive battery cable to the starter.
Which connects starter motor and the battery temporary to get sufficient power to starter motor.
