If world war one had not happened then I don't think that world war two would have happened. Sometimes you have to ask yourself: What did it achieve? If you can't come up with an good answer then there was almost no point in the world war one. If world war one had not happened then there would probably not have been a world war two!
Fighting in World War I would have been very dirty, bloody, and brutal. It would have been common to have few rations, and to be terrified constantly of being shot, gassed, or blown up. Furthermore, diseases and illnesses, like trenchfoot, were a very serious problem.
There were several illnesses which claimed lives during the Civil War. Some of those illnesses were dysentery, measles, typhoid, and pneumonia.
