Buffy dies at the end because the master (BIG VAMP) drowns her but then Xander and Angel find her. Xander does mouth to mouth and brings her back to life where she goes and kills the master.
Darla also dies in season 1, (she is killed by Angel). She is brought back by Wolfram and Hart in "Angel."
