Apple makes mac computers, like the imac, mac mini, mac pro, mac laptops, like the macbook, macbook pro, macbook air, ipods, like the ipod shuffle, ipod nano, ipod classic, ipod touch. They also make "apple TV" and the iphone, ipad.
Apple used to make only computers. They started calling them Apple, then Apple ][, and Apple][c. Then they started calling them Macintosh, like the apple fruit. People who bought them and the advertisers called them Mac computers. From that Apple named their notebook or laptop computer MacBook.
A Macbook Pro is the best new Apple laptop. Ram is something that goes inside of the computer to make it run better. But yes, any Macbook would be good for a new user.
One of the best things about the Apple MacBook is that it's built for just that purpose. Apple is at the forefront of things like video chat and photo sharing, so the MacBook is definitely the way you want to go.
The black MacBooks are no longer produced and so are not available from an Apple store.
An ITouch/IPhone is pretty much a mini macbook touch so they probably will make a bigger one and call it the macbook touch and then turn it into a series like a itouch or iphone.
The MacBook Air was probably slightly below the MacBook. As of 2012 they no longer make a MacBook as the Air took it's place. It's a moot point now I guess.
Apple most likely made the MacBook because it was one of the best portable computers ever made and they wanted to provide a quality product to the customer.

Apple has a feature called Continuity that gives your MacBook Air the ability to make a call to a mobile phone. It does require a MacBook Air or Pro with the Yosemite OS, and the iPhone would need to be iOS 8.
