The atomic mass provides the number of protons plus neutrons.

Atomic mass is found by adding together the individual masses of the numbers of protons, neutrons, and electrons in the atom. --> Atomic Mass = protons + neutrons

The atomic mass of an element is the total number of protons and neutrons in its nucleus. It is usually not expressed as a whole number because it is the average of all of the element's known isotopes, which have different quantities of neutrons. It is different from the atomic number, which is the quantity of protons only and is always a whole number. Electrons are not counted because the mass of an electron is negligible compared to the mass of a proton or a neutron.

Atomic mass is synonymous with atomic weight.

you can't tell the atomic mass of an atom if either the number of protons or neutrons is missing. But Boron with 5 protons and 6 neutrons has and atomic mass of 11.
