In history, the Greeks used white lead powder, chalk, and creams as foundation to lighten their skin tone. Today, depending on the type, makeup can be water-based, oil-based, alcohol-based, silicone-based or powder based. Is there any kind of pre makeup application that can be used to fill in acne ice pick scars?

heres something to try: AFTER applying your makeup, powder etc... with a toothpick or pin, pick up a tiny blob of your pore minimizer... (an amount that would fit into the scar -not beyond it. Apply. Let set, and don't apply any more makeup over it. Wahlaaa...scar is invisible! I do this with Monistat chafing relief gel, which I believe is basically the same ingredients as your Clinique. Works wonderfully at camouflaging my ice pick scars. Your welcome!

What is press powder makeup?

Pressed powder makeup is the kind that's a little solid hunk of product in a container. Probably most of your makeup is pressed powder. How they make it: they first mix a powder base, like talc or mica, with pigments to give it color (they could leave the pigments out but no one would buy it without them) and other ingredients to help it stick to your skin better, feel better when you're wearing it or whatever other advantage they want their makeup to have. They also add a binder to allow it to stick together after it's been pressed. The product is then placed in its pan and put into a machine that presses the makeup with thousands of pounds of pressure. This makes the powder into a solid piece. The part of the press that touches the makeup can have different designs on it, like the company's logo, to make the product look fancier. Once that's done, it's put into the container and packaged for sale.

How can Indians become fairer without creams?

well i am an Indian and i constantly searched about it but i don't like putting too much makeup on, and lets face it, the creams never work. so i came up with a very simple yet successful solution! and that is powder! not makeup powder, but simple baby powder. just apply it on your face and then apply all makeup (powdery makeup would be better to put on after putting powder on). hope this helped!
