Over stretched or torn
An injury caused by a muscle being overstretched is called a muscle strain. It occurs when the muscle fibers are stretched beyond their normal limits, leading to tearing of the muscle fibers. Common symptoms include pain, swelling, and reduced range of motion.
When a muscle is over stretched it is called hyperextension. This is sometimes called a pulled muscle. It can be anywhere from minor to severe.
When a muscle is stretched over two joints, it experiences a phenomenon known as active insufficiency or passive insufficiency, depending on the context of muscle contraction. Active insufficiency occurs when a muscle cannot generate sufficient force because it is too shortened or lengthened at both joints simultaneously. Conversely, passive insufficiency occurs when the muscle is elongated over both joints, limiting the range of motion and preventing full extension or flexion at either joint. This interplay is crucial for coordinating movement and maintaining proper joint function.
Force produced is reduced, when the muscle is over-stretched or under-stretched it is weaker. Most muscles will produce max force at roughly 90 degrees.
That is the correct spelling of "sprain" (an over-stretched ligament or muscle).
Stretched, strained and or burnt out muscles, over training also causes more injury
A muscle pull happens when muscles are overworked or over stretched
Muscle deterioration refers to the weakening or loss of muscle tissue over time. This can be caused by factors such as aging, lack of physical activity, injury, or some medical conditions. It can lead to muscle weakness, fatigue, and decreased overall function.
They are the muscles. Muscles contract in pairs to move the parts across the joint. One muscle contract with more power. The opposite muscle contracts with less power and get stretched over to allow the first muscle to act.
