Not really a movie more of the basic idea of good vs. evil. Lucas was also inspired by the Nazis and Hitler with SS troopers being Stormtroopers and Emperor Sidious being Hitler. You can even go further in that Emperor Sidious really hates all other races except humans and that makes the Imperial Alliance a mostly human army and navy.

∙ 12y agoIf you read the books, the ones that mention Darth Bane give you a pretty accurate idea of what was happening at the time of a few hundred years before Star Wars: A New Hope. Any Star Wars book you read ussualy tells you the timeline it is gone, or there is a symbol on the book that signifies the time period it happened in.
