Hertz (cycles/second) measures frequency or pitch. Decibels measures loudness or sound pressure.
the Decibel it measures the loudness and intensity
loudness
Loudness is a word from psychoacoustics. It is the quality of a sound that is the primary psychological correlate of physical strength or amplitude. Loudness is a really subjective measure. It is often confused with objective measures of sound pressure or sound intensity. The perception of loudness varies from person to person, therefore it cannot be universally measured using any single metric. Loudness is also affected by parameters other than sound pressure, including frequency and duration. decibels
dicibels is the unit that measures the loudness of sound.
The unit of relative loudness is the sone. The unit for absolute loudness, or loudness level, is the phon. Both relative and absolute loudness are perceptual measures that vary from person to person. The unit used to measure sound pressure is the dB (decibel). Since dB measures the power of a sound wave, a physical characteristic, it is not a perceptual measure but a scientific one (thus perception of the sound has no effect on it).Read more: What_is_the_unit_of_relative_loudness

Usually sound pressure level (SPL) in decibels (dB) is meant. A sound level meter is an instrument which measures the sound pressure level. The reading from a sound pressure level meter (SPL meter) does not correlate well to human-perceived loudness.
i would say decibels but this is a guess its what sound is measured in

A uterine sound measures uterine depth.
Take a sound pressure level meter, but pay attention to your ears.
a decibel meter.
