1953 Topps Baseball card setThe 1953 Topps Baseball card set consist of 274 Baseball cards. Because of the competition with Bowman the set is missing 6 cards. The original players slated for those cards signed exclusive contracts with Bowman. Cards not issued are: 253, 261, 267, 268, 271 and 275. The Complet set has a book value of about $27,000.00 in Near Mint condition and $5,000.00 - $10,000.00 in Very good -Excellent condition. Key cards in the set include: card number 1 - Jackie Robinson, card number 82 - Mickey Mantle, and card number 244 -Willie Mays.
