"Batch revert" is a Supervisor-only tool to revert the answers of contributors in bulk at one time. This is useful if a contributor has placed multiple spam, vandalized, or nonsense answers to questions.
Reverts count as editing points.
As a Supervisor, my favorite WikiAnswers feature (though not available to regular contributors) would have to be the Batch Revert feature. The Batch Revert feature is a tool that allows Supervisors undo vandalism in answers caused by a single contributor (registered or not registered) in less than a minute. This feature can do anywhere from 1 to 1000 reverts at one time, so it is a definite favorite in combating vandal attacks.A profile page
Contact a supervisor if you would like to revert your profile.
If you are asking how to revert a question to a previous state, you can't. Normal users do not have that power granted to them. Only supervisors can revert questions to previous versions.
Batch revert puts a large amount of strain on the servers, so we have to limit how far back we can go. The two week cap may be increased in future if possible.
Only CA's are capable of doing this.
You can make a folder with batch by using the command: md Foldername Example: @echo off md WikiAnswers exit The batch file would make a folder named WikiAnswers, and it would appear on your desktop
'Batch Split' is a tool on WikiAnswers only available to Supervisors, in which incorrect alternate wordings to multiple questions can be split all at one time, instead of one at a time. 'Batch' is just another word for 'Bundle', or basically, a lot of questions, which is referred to as a 'batch' of questions. 'Split' is separating an alternate wording from it's parent question, thereby creating the term 'Batch Split'.
Blocking/warning, protecting questions (and answers), featuring questions, automatic merges, deleting and editing discussion posts, edit/delete/view all messages, revert answers, batch splitting and moving alternates, trash questions, and some more powers on the Community Forum.
If you are a non-Supervisor: categorizing is one of the easiest tasks to do and does not take much time. Flags would be the second best option since most flags are simple and you get points for removing the flag and editing the answer to fix it. For Supervisors: Batch Recategorization is the most efficient way to get a lot of contributions. Again, flags would also be a good option. Batch Revert is also a good option but most times it is not appropriate to use this.
WikiAnswers supervisors can set an alternate wording of a question to be the primary wording. The primary wording will then become an alternate wording of the new primary question. Supervisors can also revert answers back to their previous versions. You can read more about becoming a supervisor at the link below.
"Batch Recategorization" is a Supervisor-only tool that allows Supervisors to add a bulk amount of questions to certain categories. This is useful when a contributor incorrectly categorizes multiple questions in a category.
