The way I do it, is I go to Google,
http://Google.com/
I click on "language tools" (just to the right of the input box where you normally would type your search terms),
Then I type the word "box" in the big box underneath the heading, "Translate text",
Then I make sure that the pop-up menu choices below are set to translate from English to Italian,
Finally, I press the "translate" button and...
Whoa!
Google gives me twenty four different possible translations. Maybe you could clarify what you mean by "box." Are you talking about what fighters do in the ring? Are you talking about a cardboard shipping carton? Are you talking about a tin of candies?
Things that are all called by the same name in one language sometimes are called by different names in another language and vice versa. One thing you can do with Google is try some of the more likely looking possibilities, and ask it to translate them back into English. For example, the Italian "bossolo" translates to "cartridge" in English. I'll bet that's not what you wanted.
Anyway, try it for yourself, and Good luck.
