Diogenes is the name of the restaurant that is owned by Mycroft Holmes in the episode. It is also the name of the club co-founded by Mycroft Holmes in the original Conan Doyle story 'The Greek Interpreter'. Diogenes is also perhaps the most famous Cynic Greek philosopher born in the 5th century BC.

There are no emo kids, but they do have goth kids. The goth kids first appear in the episode Raisins (episode 14, season 7), and show up several times throughout the series from that point on. There is also the episode The Ungroundable (episode 14, season 12) when a lot of the students at South Park Elementary suddenly start dressing like vampire kids, and the goth kids do not at all approve of this.
