There are 1000000mg in a kgm so 0.001mg is 0.000000001kg. 1000ug is 1mg. Therefore this is 0.000001kg.
i assume by mcg you can only mean microgram, which is the greek leter mu, which looks like a u. 400ug equals .4mg 1000ug = 1mg
1ug=10^-6g Therefore 10ug would equal 0.00001g
There are 1000ug in a milligram. Therefore 3/1000 is the dilution you need. Decide on the volume, divide by 1000, multiply by 3 and that is the volume of stock that you need.
1000 micrograms(ug) = 1 milligram(mg) 1000 milligrams(mg) = 1 gram(g) 1 gram x (1000mg/1g) = 1000mg 1000mg x (1000ug/1mg) = 1,000,000ug
1ppm is greater than 1ppb. Reason: ppm is mg/l and ppb is ug/l. And mg is always greater than ug. 1ng = 1000ug 1ug = 1000mg 1mg= 1000kg.... Hope this information helps. Regards, Nazia Farooqui Heriot Watt University, Scotland.
One gram equals 1000 miligrams 0.08 * 1000 = 80 .08 g = 80 miligrams. By the way, if you type in a measurement into google, it will often give you the conversion as the first search result.
First figure out how much substance is in 500 microliters of a 2 mg/L solution this is 0.0005 L X 2mg/L =0.001 mg Then figure out how much solution you need to get 0.001 mg which is 0.001 mg divided by 1 mg/mL which equals 0.001 mL or 1 microlitre.. So to make your solution you would add 1 microliter of your stock to 499 of water.
