The Earth's lithosphere can vary in depth from 5 km at the ocean ridges to 200 km underneath mountain ranges.
Less than 5%.
You would be under the Earth's crust, which is the outermost layer of the Earth. The crust is typically between 5-70 km thick beneath the continents and around 5-10 km thick beneath the ocean basins.
An average plane flies between 5 to 10 km above the surface of the earth. Planes cannot fly below or above the altitude. After this altitude there is not much air.
Rougly between 1/5 and 1/6 of the surface is desert
Earthquakes can occur at varying depths below the Earth's surface, typically ranging from near the surface to around 700 kilometers deep. The depth of an earthquake's focus can provide insight into the type of earthquake and the tectonic plate boundary where it occurred.
The continental crust, (where all the land is) is generally around 30 km (20 mi) to 50 km (30 mi) thick. The oceanic crust (the bottom of the sea) is roughly 5 km (3 mi) to 10 km (6 mi) thick.

the crust is the thickness of earths layers
5% of earths surface is covered in deciduous forests---I HAD to scour the internet for this so appreciate it!!!
i believe roughly 70% (not completely sure though) I'm not really sure, but something like 70% of the earths surface..
