At 6500-11500 ohms, the resistance on the ignition coil is okay. If the resistance exceeds 11500 or below 6500, the coil requires replacement.
The firing order is 18 43 65 72.
43 2 1
On my Astro, the firing order is located on the distributor cap- Where each plug wire goes into the cap, there is a number on the cap-find#1 go clockwise for the next number etc. That's your firing order
Code 43 refers to the coil. Code 55 is end of message.
Ignition coil circuit malfunction.
When you lift the engine lid and look at the engine, it should say "Zundfolge" 1432 I believe, all engines for the past 60-70 years have had the firing order embossed or stamped where it is readableon the block, engine case, or cylinder head. My '43 Jeep does, my '70 Ghia does, all other cars do as well.
ignition coil circuit failure
It sounds like the spark plug wires may not be connected to the right cylinders. Check your firing order to make sure it is correct.
Take it to an authorized repair center or a qualified gun smith.
ignition coil circuit failure
It has a 74j cylinder misfire because the 43 peak is in the fuel, having it backfire to the motor It has a 74j cylinder misfire because the 43 peak is in the fuel, having it backfire to the motor
I assume from your description of PCM code 43 that it is indicating an ignition coil problem. If the engine still runs well, clear the code and see if driving will cause the code to re-appear. If the code doesn't show up again, it may have been just an unexplained occurrance. If it does you may have an ignition coil going bad or some other problem in the area. If it says ignition coil it may just be something electrically connected to the ignition coil, like an intermittent short in a spark plug wire causing periodic excessive drain on the coil.
